  • Your watch party must be affiliated with an institution, organization, or academic entity

  • One person will serve as the Watch Party Coordinator (completes the registration form and handles communication)

 Technical Requirements to Host a Watch Party

 To ensure a smooth viewing experience, your virtual watch party should meet the following minimum   tech capabilities:

 Streaming Platform Recommendations

  • Use a professional platform like Vimeo Livestream, Hopin, Zoom Events, or YouTube Private Stream with registration gate.

  • Platform must support:

  • High-definition video (720p minimum; 1080p preferred)

  • Low-latency streaming

  • Embedded chat or Q&A tools (if interactive)

 Institutional Tech Checklist

  • Stable internet – Minimum 25 mbps download speed (preferably wired, not Wi-Fi)

  • A/V Setup – Projector or large TV, speakers, backup cables

  • Livestream access – Device that can run browser-based platform or dedicated streaming app

  • Host Point Person – On-site tech contact for troubleshooting

  • Viewing License – Agreement not to redistribute or record Connections Conference.
